Brent M. Colley, First Selectman Sharon, is the star of an all new Mayor Monday. Sharon is the third largest town in the State with nearly 30 miles of gravel roads…  makes things very interesting no matter what season it is.
Sharon was one of the first towns in the State to have electrical power. In 1895, three houses and 22 street lamps were operating on hydroelectric power. Later, businesses within 3 miles of the power plant were added. This continued until 1906 when an electric feeder line was completed from Canaan to Sharon.
