NAUGATUCK, Conn. (AP) – A 12-year-old Naugatuck boy is accused of sexually assaulting two younger relatives repeatedly over several months.

The Republican-American of Waterbury reports that the boy was brought to the Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center this week after being charged Monday with first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. His name isn’t being released because of state juvenile offender laws.

Police say another relative of the boy reported in January that he allegedly assaulted a 6-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl over a period of several months that ended in mid-January.

The boy’s case will be prosecuted in juvenile court where proceedings are closed to the public.
