HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) _ Hamden police have announced that they’re investigating the death of a 6-month-old baby.
Police Chief Thomas Wydra says police officers and firefighters were called to a home on Stanley Road on Saturday morning on a report of an unconscious baby. The child was later pronounced dead at Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital. Wydra announced the investigation Monday night.
Police haven’t said whether the baby’s death appeared suspicious. Authorities are waiting for the chief medical examiner’s office to perform an autopsy and determine how the baby died.
No other details have been released.
