First Connecticut Lake is the largest of the Connecticut Lakes in Pittsburgh, New Hampshire. Located in Coos County, cabins are available for rent right along the lake. Visitors can enjoy moose watching, hiking, snowmobiling, hunting and spectacular lake views. The lakes are three minutes from Moose Alley, an area with a high moose population, making it the perfect place to see nature at its finest. The lakes are located approximately five hours north of Hartford. Popular town attractions are the Buck Rub Pub and a short drive to Magnetic Hill’s wharf village over the border of Canada. Salem, Massachusetts is best known for the historical Salem Witch Trials and isn’t only enjoyable for Halloween.
