The Norwalk Karting Association dates back to 1971 and continues to meet every weekend at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk during the spring and fall, weather permitting. A quarter-mile course within a designated area of the parking lot is restricted to the public, however it is accessible to spectators. Whether your interest is recreational or you aspire to be a pro, drivers of all ages are welcome to participate, grow and learn. Club schedule, rules and membership application are posted online.

With the newest cars on the track, Sonny’s Place offers the young and not so young a thrill behind the wheel. Kids ages 10 and up can drive solo while 16 and up will have to drive with a passenger between ages four and 10. Host to the Tri State Kart Club, Pomfret Speedway is an eighth-mile oval track that offers anyone, from the competitive driver to the novice, a chance to test their skills and enjoy the thrill of the race. Members and non-members are encouraged to participate in races and/or practices. Activities and events, including money races, are scheduled throughout the year. This track does not provide rental karts, however, those showing an interest in kart racing are encouraged to visit the track and speak with club members about the sport and maybe take a test drive or two.

R & B Sports World is an indoor/outdoor fun-filled venue that offers go karts for drivers over the age of eight as well as passenger cars so that younger children can be driven by an adult.
