(Griswold, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – State Police say one person has died in a fire in Griswold and a car fire about an hour later in Glastonbury is connected.
A little after 5:00 this morning, troopers say they responded to a fully involved fire at 70 Kenwood Estates.
One person was found dead in the residence.
About an hour later, authorities responded to a car fire on Nanel Dr. in Glastonbury, which state police confirm to WTIC News, is associated with the fire in Griswold. Police say the car was abandoned and no one was hurt in that blaze.
Detectives from the State Police Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit, as well as the Eastern District Major Crimes division are assisting with the investigation.
