Woman Struck By Vehicle In Plainville Dies

PLAINVILLE, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – Two  women were hit by a vehicle in Plainville Saturday night.

The women were struck around 9:30 p.m. on Bradley Street, said police.

A 59 year old woman was trapped under the front divers-side wheel.Several police officers and civilians lifted the vehicle off of the woman.She  was flown to Hartford Hospital with life threatening injuries and died early Sunday morning..A 40 year old woman suffered minor injuries.

The driver, 35 year old Justine Cusick of Plainville has been charged with  Manslaughter in the  2nd  Degree ,Driving Under the Influence,2 counts of Assault, Reckless Endangerment and Unsafe backing.
