Man Rescued From Burning Boat In Stratford

(CBS Connecticut) — A 33-foot 2007 Formula brand boat was being given a sea trial, when it caught fire near Sikorsky Aircraft.

There was about 2-hundred gallons of gasoline on board.

The fire apparently burned most of the fuel, according to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

Beacon Point Marina employee Thomas White was on board the vessel.  He was rescued by firefighters from Sikorsky Aircraft.

There were no injuries.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
