Nora Duncan, State Director of AARP CT, discusses their Job Seeker Seminar, being held at New Britain High School May 20th.

Nora says the event is not a job fair, but rather a seminar designed to give job seekers the knowledge they need when seeking work in the digital age. Nora says looking for a job is not the same as it was 5,10,15 or 20 years ago. The seminar also focuses on networking. Nora says one may have to apply online but that is not how you get the job. AARP partnered

with the Connecticut Masters Games once again this year to present the job seeker seminar. It was free to anybody, no matter their age. Nora sys AARP also has many resources including micro-learning how to utilize things such as LinkedIn, new interview techniques and how to handle them and age proofing your resume.
