(Suffield, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – State Police say they are investigating an officer involved shooting in Suffield that’s left a person dead.
Troopers say it happened around 12:30 p.m. when, during a motor vehicle stop, some type of interaction took place between the Suffield officer and the vehicle’s occupant.
Troopers say no officers were injured.
The person shot was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.
Police haven’t released that person’s name as yet, nor have they identified the officer.
In addition to State Police, the State’s Attorney and Central District Major Crime detectives are investigating.
