PUTNAM, Conn. (CBS Connecticut and AP) – The president of a Little League in Connecticut has resigned as he faces child sex assault charges.
The Putnam Little League’s board of directors said in a statement posted on its website April 1 that Kyle Aldrich’s resignation was effective immediately. The board named Reggie Fowler as his replacement.
The 33-year-old Putnam resident was arrested near his home Friday. He was arraigned Monday on charges including first-degree sexual assault, third-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.
Aldrich’s bond was set at $150,000 and he was released from custody, according to the court records. His next court date is May 5.
Putnam police haven’t released details of the allegations. Aldrich’s lawyer didn’t immediately comment.
