New Haven Police Investigate Hateful Vandalism

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – New Haven police say hateful vandalism was found at two locations in the city early Monday.

Shattered windows, swastikas, anti-police markings and obscene illustration of Gov. Dannel Malloy were found at 405 Foxon Boulevard just before 9 a.m.– home to an Indian restaurant, and immigration and tax offices, among other businesses, said police.

Authorities say similar messages were left at a police substation at the Bella Vista senior housing complex on Eastern Street.

Police were combing through surveillance footage and had collected evidence from both scenes in hopes of identifying a who committed the crimes.
