WILTON, Conn. (AP) — Police say a fight between students from two Connecticut high schools that sent one to the hospital was sparked by a scavenger hunt in which students were dared to urinate on their rival’s football field.
Lt. Stephen Brennan tells The Hour that about 10 Ridgefield High students arrived at Wilton High’s field on Aug. 31, and were met by a similar number of Wilton students.
He says at first the groups engaged in some friendly games, until a Ridgefield student tried to complete the dare and things deteriorated.
A Ridgefield student was brought to the hospital by his parents.
Brennan says although there were reports that a golf club and baseball bat were present, there’s no evidence they were used.
There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
