(New London, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – A man is in the hospital after New London police say he was slashed early this morning.
They received the call a little after 6:30 a.m. to the area of Prest and Connecticut Avenues.
That’s where officers with the the city’s patrol and detective divisions found the victim.
They say 50-year-old Guy Bryant of Norwich had serious injuries, including several deep wounds to the arm and head areas.
In addition, Bryant had also sustained trauma to his lower legs.
He was taken to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital for treatment and is in stable condition.
Police are trying to determine a motive for the attack.
