In the past few days, the future of the Hartford Yard Goats has become increasingly unclear. With Dunkin’ Donuts Stadium still under construction, the Eastern League announced that the team will go somewhere else if the stadium takes too long to be completed.
“We cannot risk 2017 being played on the road, and we are not going to,” said Eastern League President Joe McEacharn. “The only thing that can happen here if this stadium is not done, baseball will not come to Hartford.”
