HARTFORD, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – Interstate 84 in Hartford was closed in both directions around 10:30 a.m. Friday, as police investigated a shooting.
The westbound side of the highway reopened shortly before 11 a.m., but was reported to be slow.
A Hartford police spokesman said on social media that the scene was safe.
Images from the scene showed a burned out van on the highway. A robot was being used to inspect what remains of the vehicle.
Police were urging motorists to seek alternate routes.
