Secret Service: No Arrests In Obama Threat Case

HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) _ Secret Service officials say they won’t be making an arrest in a Connecticut case involving an alleged threat against President Barack Obama.

The Secret Service took an unidentified man into custody for questioning in Hamden last Friday night after tracking his cell phone and locating his car outside an ice rink. Authorities didn’t disclose details of the alleged threat.

Secret Service spokesman Robert Hoback told the New Haven Register that authorities determined charges weren’t warranted after conducting an investigation. Hoback said he didn’t believe there was any real threat to the president.

Obama traveled to Westchester County, New York, last Friday for fundraising and other events, then flew to Rhode Island.
