BRISTOL, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) _ Bristol police arrested two city men in an overnight scrap metal theft at a local business.
Pawel Lotkowski and Anthony Romano, both 24, are charged with third-degree larceny, third-degree criminal trespass and conspiracy to commit both charges.
Police were alerted to a possible break-in and theft at Mastrobattisto Construction at 145 Burlington Ave. just before 2 a.m. Monday.
Investigating officers were given a description of a suspect vehicle as a 1997 Ford F-150 pickup truck. A vehicle matching that description was spotted at nearby Grove and Oakland Streets.
Further investigation revealed that scrap metal belonging to the business was located in the bed of this pickup.
The two were arrested and released on $10,000 non-surety bonds, due in Bristol Superior Court Aug. 25.
