A Podcast On Connecticut’s Water Safety

(CBS Connecticut) — Could Connecticut experience the kind of drinking water emergency which turned off the taps for nearly half a million Ohio residents this weekend?  An algae bloom on Lake Erie is blamed for producing toxins which got into the water supply for the city of Toledo and surrounding areas.

WTIC News spoke with Supervising Environmental Analyst Eric McPhee with the Connecticut Department of Public Health.  He supervises Source Water Protection within the Drinking Water Section.
