MONROE, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – A 4-year-old boy’s inquisitive nature got him kicked out of a donut shop, reports WFSB-TV.

Justin Otero was with his mother at the Doughnut Inn in Monroe asked a female customer if she had a baby in her belly. His mom apologized after the woman said no. “My response was ‘Oh my goodness, I’m so embarrassed, I’m so sorry’,” Rebecca Denham told the station. She said the woman offered a good-natured “no problem” and they all went on about their day.

But Denham said the store manager was not so forgiving. Going back to the Doughnut Inn on Tuesday morning, she was told her son was not welcome.

“She said, ‘he’s not allowed in here,’ and I looked around, and said, ‘him?’ and she said ‘yeah, he’s rude’,” Denham said.

Denham left the shop with her son…vowing never to return. “Some people, unfortunately are quick to pass judgment, and therefore we will take our money and business elsewhere.”
