TORRINGTON, Conn. (AP) _ Nearly two dozen students have been taken to the hospital following a five-vehicle chain-reaction crash involving two school buses and three other vehicles in Torrington.
Officials said no one was killed in the accident on Tuesday afternoon.
Officials say as many as 20 or more students were taken to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital as a precaution. Deputy Fire Chief Christopher Pepler said none of the students were seriously injured.
A hospital spokesman did not immediately return a call seeking information.
Five or six other people also required hospitalization.
A speeding pickup truck struck a Jeep that was pushed into a small school bus that hit a larger school bus. The larger bus then hit a car.
