Magazine: Slight Improvement In Connecticut Business Climate

(Greenwich, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – Connecticut ranks 44th out of 50 states when it comes to the best and worst for business in the country.

That’s one notch up from where the state ranked in 2013

The ranking comes by way of a recently released survey in Chief Executive magazine.

Various criteria are considered by CEOs when it comes to making the determination: they include tax and regulatory regime, quality of the workforce, and quality of living envirionment.

The best state for business is Texas; the worst is California, with New York ranking 49th, New Jersey 47th and Massachusetts 46th.

Connecticut recently embarked on a half-million dollar advertising campaign throughout the Tri-State area called Meet the Job Creators in order to boost growth.
