Duck Stamp Art Chosen

(CBS Connecticut) — The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has announced the winners of the 2014 Connecticut Duck Stamp art contest.  The winning image will be used on the state’s 2015 duck stamp.

Money raised from the stamps goes for development, management, preservation, conservation,m acquisitionh, purchase and maintenance of waterfowl habitat and wetlands,  and for purchase and acquisition of recreational rights relating to migratory birds.

The winning art was submitted by Guy Crittenden of Richmond, Virginia.

Reproduction prints of the winning art are available through the DEEP Wildlife Division’s Migratory Bird Program. (860) 642-7239.

The top three paintings will be on display through August at the DEEP Wildlife Division’s Sessions Woods Conservation Center, 341 Milford Street, Burlington,
