CLINTON, Conn. (AP) _ Clinton police have identified a 40-year-old local man who died after crashing his moped head-on into a sport utility vehicle.
Authorities Wednesday identified him as Kenneth Waite, of 324 East Main St. They say he was driving a moped westbound on Route 1 in the wrong lane when it collided with an eastbound SUV Tuesday evening.
The man was pronounced dead at a local medical center. Two people in the SUV weren’t hurt.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
