Special Election Today For State Senate Seat

(New Haven, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – There’s a special election being held today in a state senatorial district.

The election is for the 10th Senatorial District, which covers portions of New Haven and West Haven.

The seat was previously held by New Haven Mayor Toni Harp.

Harp resigned the seat upon her election last year.

Vying for the seat are Republican Steven Mullins and Democratic State Representative Gary Holder-Winfield.
