(South Windsor, Conn./CBS Connecticut) –  Police in South Windsor are investigating a recent spate of car burglaries.

Police say between overnight last Friday through yesterday, there were several motor vehicles that were burglarized.

The break-ins occurred in the Kent Lane, Norton Lane, Tumblebrook Drive and Pine Knob Drive areas.

Items that were reported taken include an Ipod, coins, and tools.

Police are reminding residents to keep their vehicles locked at all times and at night, keep exterior lights on in order to deter thieves.

Those with any information on the burglaries of who may have witnessed suspicious activity should call police in South Windsor at (860) 644-2551.
