Route 15 Crash Kills One, Injures Two

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (AP) _ One man is dead after the car he was driving on route 15 in Orange hit a metal guide rail, causing the vehicle to overturn and strike a tree before ejecting the driver who was subsequently hit by other cars.

Connecticut state police say 29-year-old Shamar Brooks, of Middletown, suffered fatal injuries from the collision that occurred early Saturday.

Two passengers, 30-year-old Alexander Wright of Meriden and 23-year-old Dante Treasure of West Haven, were taken to hospital for treatment of injuries they suffered in the crash.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnesses the accident or involved in it to contact state police in Bethany.
