Teen Falls From Lift At Cornwall Ski Slope

CORNWALL, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) _ A 14-year-old boy who fell from a ski lift at Mohawk Mountain in Cornwall was alert and conscious when emergency personnel responded Wednesday.

He apparently fell when he didn’t have the restraining bar down. He’s reportedly an accomplished skier, part of a local school’s race team and was wearing a helmet.

He was taken to Sharon Hospital and LifeStar was called there to transport him. The extent of his injuries is not known.

The lift’s being examined, but not believed to have been a cause in the accident and is expected to be re-opened Thursday after being closed following the accident.
