Suspect Arrested In Sandwich Shop Stickup

(Stafford, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – State Police have made an arrest in connection with an armed robbery from last weekend in Stafford.

Fifty-three-year-old Charles Perkins was arrested Tuesday.

Perkins is accused of walking into a West Main Street Subway sandwich shop around a quarter to eight last Saturday night and demanding cash.

He was picked up yesterday by troopers at his residence in town.

Perkins faces robbery and larceny charges, as well as charges of possessing a facsimile firearm, breach of peace, and driving a motor vehicle while under suspension.

He’s being held on $200,000 bond pending arraignment today in Rockville Superior Court.
