Two Arrests In Windham Home Invasion

State police have made a pair of arrests in connection with a home invasion in Windham last week that made headlines when the homeowner questioned the time it took police to respond.

23-year-old Carlos Nadal of Danielson and 32-year-old Christian Gonzalez-Diaz of Windham are both charged with burglary, larceny, criminal mischief and cruelty to animals.  They are due in court Tuesday.

Two children at home at the time of the break-in hid in the bathroom after calling police about the invasion. They were unharmed, but their father has questioned why it took “an extended amount of time” to respond to the call, which came in around 4:30 p.m.

Police are conducting an internal investigation into the response time.
