WEST HAVEN, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) _ Governor Dannel Malloy and Consumer Protection Commissioner William Rubenstein will be at a commercial building at 400 Frontage Road in West Haven Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. for an announcement regarding medical marijuana.

It’s not clear what the announcement will entail, however, last summer, West Haven planning and zoning approved an application from a Fairfield-based company to grow medical marijuana at that West Haven address.

Previously, the State Department of Consumer Protection said it expected to name the companies that will be betting grow licenses by the end of this week, with the dispensary licenses to be awarded by April.
