WOLCOTT, Conn. (AP) _ Authorities say a car drove through an intersection in Wolcott and crashed into a tree, killing the driver on impact.
NBC Connecticut reports that the man suffered an emergency medical condition and sped through the intersection around 1:30 p.m. Saturday without stopping. He then traveled up a curb and struck a tree in a residential yard.
The man was declared dead at the scene and his name hasn’t been released.
Police say a regional accident reconstruction team with crews from Naugatuck, Watertown and Wolcott is investigating and the medical examiner is working to determine his official cause of death.
