Secretary of the State Denise Merrill says about 3,000 Connecticut voters used Election Day Registration when casting their 2013 ballots.
Election Day Registration became available to state voters for the first time last November.
Today’s figures are part of an overall report that’s due the state legislature by February 1.
New Haven had the most estimated EDR or Election Day Registration voters with 202.
New Britain was second with 164.
Norwalk, West Haven, and Stamford rounded out the top five.
Merrill says the numbers show that Election Day Registration is both popular and reliable.
She says there were no reports or complaints of concern as to how the law was implemented.
