Major Theft Reported At School Construction Site

PROSPECT (CBS Connecticut) — State police are seeking the public’s assistance in their investigation into a major theft at a school construction site on New Haven Road in Prospect.

They say between last Saturday evening and Monday morning, at least two individuals unlocked a gate and entered the site.

While there, investigators say 800 gallons of disel fuel were siphoned from several machines.  In addition, the suspects stole an 1800-watt generator, a 2011 Sportsman Quad with a $48,000 Ashtech Z GPS unit.

The investigation thus far suggests the suspects used a pickup truck with single rear tires.

Anyone with any information is asked to get in touch with the resident trooper in Prospect at (203) 758-6150 or State Police of (203) 393-4200.
