Windsor Children Report Approaches By Stranger

WINDSOR, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – Police and school officials in Windsor are warning parents and children about two separate incidents this week in which a suspicious man approached children walking to school.  Police say say one student was approached about 9:45 a.m. Tuesday in the area of Salem Circle, and on Wednesday, two students were apprached near Capen and Preston Streets at about 3 p.m.

In the first incident, the individual was described as a white male, about 40, with gray facial hair and glasses.  The second individual was describeds as 30-40 years of age, with glasses and thinning hair.  He was driving a white van with a ladder on the roof.

Police say they don’t know whether the incidents are related,  or whether the children were in danger,  but they reminded parents to tell their children not to approach vehicles with strangers seeking directions, and to try to remember the license number of any vehicle which approaches  them, and to tell their parents right away.
