WASHINGTON (CBS Connecticut) –A Connecticut woman with two sons in the U.S. military was chosen to introduce President Obama as he called on Congress to extending unemployment compensation.
Katherine Hackett had written the President talking about her experience without a job. She says she worked many different jobs as a single mother and never asked for a handout.
President Obama says in her letter, Hackett told him she challenged any lawmaker to live without an income.
