Vernon Pedestrian Killed In Weekend Accident

(Vernon, Conn./CBS Connecticut) Vernon police are asking for witnesses to call them as they continue to investigate the death of a woman killed on West Main Street over the weeend.

Police say 53-year-old Maureen Thompson of Enfield was hit by a car driven by 84-year-old Robert Davis of Enfield shortly before midnight Saturday.  She was pronounced dead at Rockville Hospital.

The regional accident reconstruction team was called to the scene.  Police say anyone with information about the accident should call Vernon Police at (860) 872-9126.
