(West Hartford/CBS Connecticut) This week’s snow may have snarled traffic — but it did make work easier for  police investigating three suspicious men walking in a West Hartford neighborhood.

Police say there have been several residential burglaries over recent months,  and residents were asked to call police if they noticed anything suspicious.  A woman seeing three suspicious men walking with a large bag did just that. When police approached to speak with them, they ignored the officer and ran —  but police were able to follow footprints in the snow,   where they found the bag full of stolen electronic gear, abandoned on Park Street in Hartford.

The computers and other electronic items had been stolen from a residence on Bainbridge Road were found in the bag. . .  and police continued to follow the footprints, and were able to find and arrest two of the suspects.

20-year-old Jose Ofray and 22-year-old Michael Ortega, both of Hartford, are charged with burglary and larceny.  Police say they’re continuing to look for the third person.
