South Windsor police are charging a man after they say he blocked an ambulance from leaving a shared driveway during a medical call.
Police and an ambulance were sent the home on Foster Road on Monday.
While there, 67-year-old Richard Cote apparently took offense to first responders blocking his driveway.
That’s when he allegedly threatened to have police cruisers and the ambulance towed.
Police say Cote failed to comply with repeated requests to move his vehicle and swore at officers.
Cote prevented them from backing out to transport the patient and refused to move.
He’s now charged with interfering with an officer and disobeying the signal of an officer.
Police haven’t said what exactly set Cote off. He’s now free on $5,000 bond.
