New London police are charging a man after they say he was found uriniating on a squad car by an officer arriving at work.
Police say when the responded to the parking lot of police headquarters Tuesday night just after ten p.m., police say 29-year-old Mark Bass of New London was then found laying on the ground, partially underneath the cruiser.
Officers determined he was intoxicated.
During a subsequent pat-down for weapons, police found a fully loaded .40-caliber Glock semi-automatic handgun.
Bass did have a permit on him to carry the gun.
However, police are charging him with carrying a loaded firearm while under the influence of alcohol and breach of peace.
He’s free on $2,500 bond.
