Police say when the responded to the parking lot of police headquarters Tuesday night just after ten p.m., police say 29-year-old Mark Bass of New London was then found laying on the ground, partially underneath the cruiser.

Officers determined he was intoxicated.

During a subsequent pat-down for weapons, police found a fully loaded .40-caliber Glock semi-automatic handgun.
