New Charge Filed Against CCSU Student Who Caused Lockdown

Central Connecticut State University Police say a student who caused a lockdown yesterday, returned to campus today, and was arrested for the second time in two days.

Police say David Kyem had been warned not to return to campus until he met with staff in the Office of Student Conduct.

Kyem had previously been arrested on a charge of breach of peace, for wearing a Halloween ninja costume with fake weapons around campus, prompting 911 calls, a large-scale police response, and a campus lockdown.

Resident assistants found Kyem at his dorm room in James Hall.  That is the same dorm where he was taken into custody by police yesterday.

Kyem is due in court November 14.
