Quality Surveillance Video Helping Nightclub Shooting Investigation

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) _ New Haven police say their investigation into a fatal nightclub shooting is being helped by quality surveillance video.
The New Haven Register reports that police spokesman Officer David Hartman said it’s probably the clearest surveillance video he’s seen.
A woman was killed and five were injured in an early Saturday morning shooting at the Key Club Cabaret. The grandmother of one of the victims said Sunday it should be shut.
True Dickerson’s grandson, Albert Dickerson, was shot in the leg and was released from the hospital Sunday morning.
Mayor John DeStefano proposed Saturday that fees be imposed on nightclubs in districts where a heavy police presence is required, that police license and train private security at nightclubs and the city be authorized to approve club licenses.
