DMV Stop Results In Drug Arrest

A Department of Motor Vehicles officer who stopped a vehicle on Interstate 91 Thursday morning wound up calling in State Police for help.  Police say the officer saw drug paraphernalia in the vehicle stopped southbound near exit 18 in Meriden.

Troopers brought a drug-sniffing dog to the scene,  investigators found eight ounces of marijuana, two bottles of liquid cannabis, drug paraphernalia and a scale.  Police also seized $550 cash and towed the vehicle to the Bethany Barracks.

22-year-old Kyle Mount of South Windsor faces charges un the case.
