Conn. Elementary School Evacuated After Threat

DEEP RIVER, Conn. (AP) — An elementary school in Connecticut has been evacuated after what state police describe as a suspicious incident.

WFSB-TV reports that Deep River Elementary School received some sort of threat on Thursday morning.

The students were taken to the nearby John Winthrop Middle School while police searched the building.

School officials say the students are in classrooms at the middle school, the school day is continuing and that do not anticipate sending them home early.
