EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) _ Fans attending this Saturday’s football game between Connecticut and Michigan at Rentschler Field will have some new food options.
Global Spectrum, the stadium’s management company, announced Wednesday the installation of seven new concession stands, which will offer some unique dishes.
The Hotdog Nation stand, for example, will offer specialty hot dogs such as the “New Englander,” which will be topped with lobster macaroni and cheese.
There also will be a Mexican food stand, a barbeque stand and a fried chicken stand, among others.
UConn has already installed 2,300 temporary seats for the sold-out game, which be nationally televised.
The school says it’s expecting more than 42,000 fans, the largest crowd in school history.
