Report: Weapon Found In Boston Double-Homicide Linked To Hernandez

Aaron Hernandez – the Bristol native and former NFL star charged in the murder of Odin Lloyd outside Boston – continues to be investigated by Massachusetts police for his possible involvement in a double-homicide in Boston in 2012.

Now a report from CBS 3 in Springfield unveils possible crucial evidence in that investigation.   (See the story from CBS Boston)

The report says that the gun used in that double homicide has been recovered, found in a black suitcase in the trunk of a vehicle of Bristol woman Jailene Diaz-Ramos, 19, discovered when she crashed in June on I-91 near the Longmeadow exit.

The gun was reportedly sent for ballistics testing and it matched the bullets used in the 2012 shootings.

It’s not clear if Diaz-Ramos and Hernandez are connected in any way other than ties to Bristol.

It’s been suggested that Lloyd may have been killed because he had knowledge of the 2012 murders and was talking about it.

Diaz-Ramos has been charged only with firearms violations and reportedly no longer lives in Bristol.
