State Crew To Help Fight Montana Fire

For the second time in a month,  Connecticut is sending a crew to help another jurisdiction fight wildfires.  The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection says a twenty-person crew, made up of 14 DEEP employees and six local firefighters,  will be deployed up to two weeks to help fighting fires in western Montana.

In July a fire crew went to Quebec to help firefighters there.

Most members of the latest crew left early Tuesday, with the rest leaving Tuesday afternoon for the Lolo National Forest in Montana.
