Fundraising Underway For Woman Who Lost Two Children, House In Plane Crash
A fundraising effort is underway, to benefit a woman who lost two young daughters in an East Haven plane crash.
Joann Mitchell’s house was destroyed when the twin-engine plane fell from the sky.
Saint Vincent de Paul Church Father Thomas Sievel says East Haven United hopes to help the woman pay for funeral expenses.
“She will need a lot of support, a lot of financial support too, to find a place to live, and the furnishings that would be necessary,” Sievel said. “She lost everything in that disaster.”
As of late Monday, less than a thousand dollars had been sent.
Donations can be sent to East Haven United, at Saint Vincent de Paul, at 80 Taylor Avenue in East Haven.
Donations can also be made at the Old Stone Church – 251 Main Street, or they can be mailed to East Haven United c/o P.O. Box 120085, East Haven, CT 06512.
