Public’s Help Sought In Robbery Investigation

Norwalk police have released security camera images of a robbery last week at a service station on West Avenue.  Police say the Shell station was held up Tuesday,  July 23,  shortly before 10 p.m.  ”

Police say the man jumped onto the counter to grab the cash drawer.  The clerk struggled with the suspect,  but he was able to pull away and took cash,  then fled south on West Avenue.

No weapon was used.

Police say anyone who has information about the robbery or the suspect is asked to call Detective Peter White at (203) 854-3183,  or by leaving information on the the Norwalk Police Tip Line (203) 854-3111.
