The price of gasoline in Connecticut has topped four dollars for the first time since October of last year.

The Triple A  says the price of regular gas is an average of  $4.01 a gallon and it’s expected to go up even more in the coming weeks.

The highest recorded price was $4.39, set on July 9, 2008.
